Addiction and the Adolescent Brain

This presentation will explain the neuroscience of the effects of drugs including caffeine (energy drinks), alcohol, nicotine, cocaine, marijuana, “Spice,” Ecstasy, opiates and methamphetamine; how changes in brain dopamine increase the risk of addiction; and the recent clinical findings regarding short and long-term consequences of vaping.
