Addiction and the Adolescent Brain
This presentation will explain the
neuroscience of the effects of drugs including caffeine (energy drinks),
alcohol, nicotine, cocaine, marijuana, “Spice,” Ecstasy, opiates and
methamphetamine; how changes in brain dopamine increase the risk of addiction;
and the recent clinical findings regarding short and long-term consequences of
vaping.

the application for graduation whether or not you are planning to attend the
graduation ceremony. This will ensure that your diploma contains the
correct information.
Why is
receiving your degree important? That’s easy to answer. If you will
be attending another college, your associate degree may allow you to transfer
more of your Suffolk County Community College credits. Additionally, your
degree can make possible many employment and scholarship opportunities as well
as give you access to Suffolk’s alumni association benefits. And,
finally, your Suffolk diploma is a testament to your hard work and
accomplishment of this important educational goal.

MENTAL HEALTH IN YOUNGER PEOPLE
