ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease)

In the spirit of Super-Bowl week I wanted to share this article that was in Newsday this past weekend about ALS, better known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. We will be talking about it more extensively later in the semester in Brain and Behavior as well as General Psychology. In addition, as you might imagine, people with MLS also sufffer from a number of psychological disorders (i.e. anxiety/depression). The article gives you a glimpse into the lives of people afflicted with some of the toughest disorders to deal with.
